The year 2020 sure has been a heck of a...ride? if that's even the right word...as I'm sure it has been for the rest of you. Much like most of the country, a lot of unknowns weighed on my family since the virus hit in March, and it was a pretty tough time being a small business owner and not being able to have any business. C'est la vie, I guess. But despite those setbacks, my husband and I have been very blessed overall, and thanks to the big man upstairs lookin' out, we recently had an opportunity to make a pretty big life change for the both of us.
Just last month we made the move North (for us) from Mississippi to Indiana, and settled into a fantastic new home not far from the Indianapolis line and Robby's family. We're both still getting used to being above the Mason Dixon where "y'all" isn't a thing and where I have to refer to it as a "shopping cart" and not a "buggy," but it's been a pretty amazing transition so far. We're also 10 minutes for a Portillo's if that helps you gauge our enthusiasm at all...(if you've never had a Portillo's dipped Italian Beef, you need to go get one immediately).
On an even happier note, our house is just about how I want it now (yes, Robby had a say, but let's be real as to who the actual interior decorator is here), and with that done there's only one thing left to do - restart my photography business in our new state! I've been hard at work this past month getting everything changed over to begin taking clients in Indiana, and I'm excited to announce that the time has arrived: I'm booking for 2020! I've also got a fabulous new home for my website, and you can see all the changes I've made here.
As for my clients, I've already got a few things in the works at the beginning of September, so if you're looking to get a session booked, let's chat so I can get you on my calendar asap! I'm currently taking on commercial work, portraits and sports assignments. I'm also leaving my calendar open for elopements and small (20 people or less) weddings. I know a lot of brides are out a photographer right now due to re-bookings, so I'm happy to safely fill in where needed.
